Why does the Pod have 90% Em?
1) armour plates are notoriously well strengthened to EM damage.
2) Have you any idea how much a electrical surge directly fired into your brain via 'trodes would hurt? Have you considered they shielded against feedback as part of its design?

Or not. Look at a laser's RoF to any other race, like, oh here's a thought, a siege launcher or a howitzer, the Long Range equivalents to a Radio lens. I still think its a design point given that its most imperative to prevent Irradiation of the pilot by Gamma radiation or to prevent feedback into the brain. Stop rules lawyering and try to think of a reasons it might be the case.

Know what i find most funny? No weapon can kill the pod in one hit that I know off, thus you have to scramble it. Since it has no slots to fit an armour rep, who cares if your weapon does 5 damage per shot, you'll still kill them.
Oh, and stop saying it's racist. Half the Matari start with laser use, and any race can learn to use them or start with them if they went through gunnery acadamy, and finaly 1/4 Caldari and Matari ammo is EMP too.
